MANILA, Philippines – The United Nations on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, appealed to partners for a total of US$28.6 million to help rehabilitate the areas and communities damaged by ‘Sendong.’
The UN office here will be unveiling “The Emergency Revision of the Mindanao Humanitarian Action Plan 2012,” which aims to provide clean water, food, emergency shelter and essential household items to close to half a million affected people in the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iloilo.
The program is seen to last for three months.
