Team PNoy’s Valentine wish: A wife for the President

MANILA, Philippines – All work and no play will make President Benigno Aquino III a dull boy. A day before Valentine’s Day, the administration senatorial candidates wished the bachelor President a Valentine’s date, a wife, and children.

Since the 2010 presidential campaign and early in his term, Aquino has only been reported dating or being interested in a few ladies, but has not entered a relationship.

Here are their wishes for the President, based on a press release sent to reporters by the Team PNoy media team.

Sen Loren Legarda: “To find his true love.”

Sen Francis Escudero: “Sana makahanap din siya ng tunay, dalisay, at walang hanggang pag-ibig at ng isang babae na iibigin din siya nang wagas.”

Former Sen Ramon Magsaysay: “To finally have a lifetime partner soon…. PNoy deserves to be happy and he must have a love partner soonest. At sana, makakambal kaagad.”

Former Sen Jamby Madrigal: “Since he already has the love of the Filipino people, may he find more love in his personal life.” 

Recently married Bam Aquino: “Sana makahanap siya ng mag-aalaga sa kanya tulad ng pag-aalaga niya sa bayan.”

Aurora Rep Juan Edgardo Angara: “I wish that he finds someone who will love him as much as he loves us. He deserves it.”

Sen Alan Peter Cayetano: “Good things come to those who wait. I hope, even if it’s not sooner but later, PNoy will get lucky like me and find his Lani, the ideal wife – someone who is not only beautiful inside and out, someone who loves this country as much as we cherish our own relationship.”

Sen Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III: “A relaxing Valentine’s dinner while listening to his favorite music.”

Former Akbayan Rep Risa Hontiveros: “In line with the administration’s flagship program, the Public-Private Partnership or PPP, I wish PNoy PPP – Pag-ibig Palagi sa kaniyang Puso.”

Only Grace Poe and Cynthia Villar didn’t wish the President romance.

Grace Poe: “I wish him some ‘me’ time, a date with himself, to do everything he loves to do but has not been able to do because he has been too busy being president…. I remember that last Christmas, PNoy said he enjoyed getting a three-hour break and a chance to load songs to his iPod. The President badly needs some ‘me’ time.”
