MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National police (PNP) has arrested 14 individuals in Pasig City and Quezon City for violating the liquor ban.
In an interview on Sunday, May 12, PNP Public Information Office Police Chief Supt. Generoso R. Cerbo Jr. said 7 were arrested in Pasig and another 7 were arrested in Quezon City, based on the report of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
"Hindi ako tiyak sa babayarang bail pero ang pagkaka-alam ko, ito ay may kriminal na kaso at pwede silang makulong ng hindi lalagpas sa 6 na taon, (I am not sure how much they will pay as bail, but I think we can file a criminal case that will keep them in jail in as long as 6 years)," Cerbo said.
The NCRPO report did not name the persons arrested in Quezon City and only disclosed that they were all males. The 7 individuals arrested in Pasig were:
