#PHVote 2016: Where to get real-time elections results

MANILA, Philippines – Beginning election day, May 9, votes will be counted and unofficial counts will be available for the public to view as soon as the data transmissions go live. 

On Rappler, you’ll be able to view election results as soon as they become available, from national to local positions. 

Here’s how. 

To view and follow real-time elections results:

Visit www.rappler.com/phvoteresults

To see leading winners in the president, vice president, and Senate races: 

On the results page, you’ll immediately find real-time results for the presidential, vice presidential, and senatorial positions. They will be ranked in order of who’s winning at a given time. 

Hit “Rewind” to see how they performed over time. 

Hit “Embed” if you’d like to post the results on your own website or blog. Clicking “embed” will retrieve an embed code, which you can then paste into the HTML window of your blog. 

To see who’s winning in a specific place, hit “Map.” 

Click on a province or city to see who’s winning in that area. 

To see winners of local races:

You’ll need to search by location. To see who’s winning the local races, type in a location here:

On this main page, you can navigate by city or province (ARMM is listed separately).

A specific location’s page shows you the tally for the various positions up for grabs in the area, all in one place. 

If you’re logged in, the local race will automatically reflect the district that you provided upon signup so you can see who’s winning in your backyard.

You can always click the blinking #PHVote button on the lower left. It’s available at any given time.

Click on the “candidates” page.

OR to learn more about a candidate, type in his or her name in the search bar. 

A candidate’s page shows you all the information we have on him or her, if they are available. Scroll down to see:

• A rundown of fast facts on the candidate 
• Candidate’s stand on key issues
• His available Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth
• A report on public sentiment about the candidate
• Candidate’s previous election history, if applicable 

At the very least, down to the councilor level, you will be able to see what they’re running for and their political party.
