MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) – Following the unannounced burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Heroes' Cemetery at noon Friday, November 18, protest rallies have been immediately scheduled by groups and sectors opposed to the late dictator.
Some rally organizers have issued a call for other protesting groups to converge at 3 pm at the Edsa Shrine at the corner of Ortigas Avenue and Edsa in Quezon City. This was the venue of the main People Power rally that led to the ouster of Marcos in February 1986.
Unless a specific time is indicated, the following anti-Marcos mobilizations are ongoing as of posting:
MANILA
MAKATI
MUNTINLUPA (4 pm)
MARIKINA
QUEZON CITY
CALOOCAN
BAGUIO
TACLOBAN
