LPA spotted off Eastern Samar

MANILA, Philippines – State weather bureau PAGASA spotted a low pressure area (LPA) east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar on Thursday afternoon, August 27.

As of 4 pm Thursday, the LPA was located 415 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. The whole Eastern Visayas region will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms in the next 24 hours. 

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the east to southeast over Luzon, and from the northeast to northwest over the rest of the country.
