#LandoPH intensifies; Signal No. 3 raised over Quirino and Isabela
MANILA, Philippines – Typhoon Lando intensified and is expected to make landfall over Aurora/Isabela between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
As of 11 pm Friday, state weather bureau PAGASA estimated the center of Lando at 510 km east of Baler, Aurora, with maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 185 km/h.
It is moving west in direction and moving closer to the Isabela-Aurora area at 15 km/h, with heavy to intense rainfall estimated within the typhoon's 600-km diameter.

A Signal No. 3 warning has been issued over 3 areas (121-170 k/ph expected in 18 hours):
Signal No. 2 (61-120 km/h expected in 24 hours) has been raised over 13 areas:
Rest of Aurora
Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan group of Islands
Storm surge is possible at coastal areas under this storm signal, as open sea wave height can go from 4.1 m to 14.0 m.
Meanwhile, 17 areas are under Signal No. 1 (30-60 km/h expected in 36 hours):
"Occasional rains and gusty winds will be experienced over provinces under PSWS #1 while those under PSWS #2 and #3 will have stormy weather.," the bureau said in its 11 pm bulletin.
PAGASA has warned fisherfolk against venturing out over the northern and eastern seaboard of Luzon, and the eastern seaboard of Visayas.
The next bulletin on Typhoon Lando will be issued at 5 am Saturday. – Rappler.com
