MANILA, Philippines – State weather bureau PAGASA warned parts of northern Luzon to brace for light to moderate rain on Sunday, September 3.

In a bulletin issued 4 pm on Saturday, September 2, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms to the Babuyan Group of Islands, Ilocos region, and the province of Batanes.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers will be experienced in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Coastal waters in Luzon will be moderate to rough while the rest of the country will experience slight to moderate waters.

PAGASA also continues to keep an eye on Severe Tropical Storm Sanvu, which is 2,645 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon, outside PAR. Based on its forecast track, Sanvu will not affect the country.
