Cloudy skies in parts of Luzon, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Luzon will have cloudy skies on Thursday, December 19, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Northern Luzon will feel the effects of the northeast monsoon, or the “amihan,” while southern Mindanao will be affected by the trough of a low pressure area, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast Wednesday, December 18.

Central Luzon, Cagayan Valley, the Ilocos and the Cordilleras will have cloudy skies accompanied by light rains.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms are forecast for the Davao region, Soccsksargen, Metro Manila, and Quezon province.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains are in the forecast for the rest of the archipelago.

There are no tropical cyclones within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
