MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies are in the forecast in most parts of the country Saturday, March 8, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Luzon and the Visayas will continue experiencing the effects of the northeast monsoon, or the amihan, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast Friday, March 7.

These areas should expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies, accompanied by light to moderate rains, the bureau said.

Mindanao, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Prevailing winds will come from the northeast.

There are no tropical cyclones within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the bureau added.
