MANILA, Philippines – It will be a rainy Saturday, October 4, for most parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 5 pm bulletin on Friday, October 3, PAGASA said that Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, while winds coming from the west and southwest will after the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.

The winds will cause the coastal waters along these areas to be moderate to rough.

On the other hand, light to moderate winds will affect the remaining parts of the country.

PAGASA is also monitoring Typhoon Neneng (international name Phanfone), which is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this weekend.
