After canvassing votes, Philippine Congress is set to proclaim Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as president-elect and Sara Duterte as vice president-elect on Wednesday, May 25.
The proclamation is set to take place at the Batasang Pambansa, in the presence of both houses of Congress.

Marcos joined by wife Liza, son Simon, sisters Imee and Irene and mother Imelda for the proclamation. No family member has been spotted yet to join Sara Duterte. Lakas CMD chairman emeritus Gloria Arroyo consistently by Sara's side.

Imelda Marcos, who was never seen during the campaign of her son, joins him at the Batasang Pambansa for the proclamation. Imelda Marcos is appealing her conviction for 7 counts of graft. She is free on bail for humanitarian considerations out of old age.

Flanked by two of her main 2022 allies – former president and Lakas-CMD president emeritus Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and co-campaign manager Davao Occidental Governor Claude Bautista – Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, who won the vice presidential race, arrived in Batasang Pambansa via chopper.
Her other campaign manager, Marcos Jr’s cousin and Lakas-CMD president Majority Leader Martin Romualdez, greeted her party upon their arrival. Romualdez is set to be elected House Speaker when the 19th Congress opens.
