Some evacuees outside evacuation centers in Agoncillo and Laurel towns in Batangas struggle to have food and other necessities amid the continuous restiveness of Taal Volcano.
Because of the specialized lockdowns in at least five barangays in the two Batangas towns, residents have no means of livelihood and rely solely on relief operations.
Residents inside evacuation centers were rationed with food three times a day. They also receive food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Although the Calabarzon Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said they also provide relief goods for those who chose to stay in their relatives or other shelters, the relief efforts still prioritize the evacuees staying inside designated centers. – Rappler.com
