B-MEG takes pivotal game 5, gets 3-2 series lead in PBA Finals
MANILA, Philippines - B-MEG Llamados' consistent defense limited the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters to 33 points in each half en route to their 82-66 game 5 win.
The victory gives Tim Cone's squad a 3-2 series edge giving them a twice-to-beat advantage in the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals.
Import Denzel Bowles scored the last 7 points to seal the game hitting jumpers and completing and-one plays but it was two-time MVP James Yap who came up big scoring 30 points on perfect (4/4) shooting from downtown to go along with 9 rebounds. He was awarded best player of the game.
Talk 'N Text's 66-point output is the lowest in any game by any team in a PBA Finals in the last 7 years according to PBA statistician Fidel Mangonon III.
Over 15,000 fans trooped to the Big Dome to watch game 5. The attendance is the 3rd highest for the the season.
The Llamados will be looking to close the series on game 6, Friday, May 4, 2012.
