
MANILA, Philippines – NBA Players Blake Griffin, Damian Lillard, Paul Pierce, and DeMar DeRozan are expected to visit Manila from July 22-23 for a number of charity events with the main attraction presumed to be a matchup between the NBA stars and members of Gilas-Pilipinas.
The news was announced by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Manny V. Pangilinan, who called the attraction “Gilas’ Last Home Stand” via Twitter:

Moments later, national team head coach Chot Reyes confirmed the report and said that the NBA guests will be coached by former San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers coach John Lucas. He also mentioned that the match will be used to raise funds for the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF).

There has been no confirmation yet on whether or not recently-naturalized center Andray Blatche, who is expected to suit up for Gilas in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, will play for the Philippine team in the contest.
The NBA personalities, meanwhile, will be named the PLDT Home Fibr All-Stars.
DeRozan, who is part of the aforementioned club, is also set to visit the Philippines from July 4-6 for the NBA 3X Challenge along with a current unrestricted free agent.
