Heat’s Bosh hints at NBA comeback with online workouts

MIAMI, USA – Miami Heat star Chris Bosh sought to give public proof of his fitness on Thursday, September 1, sharing videos of on-court workouts online as he targets the new season.

The 11-time All-Star finished the last two seasons sidelined by Miami after undergoing treatment for blood clots.

Bosh was at loggerheads with Miami last season, publicly pushing to return to action yet remaining sidelined.

Bosh said in a video released via social media on Thursday he felt ready to return.

“I know I’ve been gone for a moment, but now I’m back,” Bosh said in a video. “Everybody is always asking me, ‘Am I hooping?’ Yes, I’m hooping. I’m a hooper.”

The 32-year-old last season publicly questioned team chiefs over why he had not been allowed to return.

However Miami owner Micky Arison gave Bosh words of encouragement with one of his workout videos this week, noting: “Looking good CB look forward to seeing in camp.”

Team president Pat Riley has said Bosh would be evaluated in “late August or September”, with training camp opening on September 27.

Bosh hasn’t played since February 9 due to blood clots in his calf.

He missed the second half of the 2014-15 season due to blood clots, with a clot migrating to his lungs and forcing him into a hospital stay. – Rappler.com
