MANILA, Philippines – Three-time NBA champion Bruce Bowen will spend the NBA Finals with Filipino fans. 

As part of Bowen’s upcoming trip to the Philippines, he will attend two NBA Finals viewing parties for fans and participate in NBA Carers community outreach efforts. 

“I look forward to visiting the Philippines to enjoy the NBA Finals alongside Filipino fans,” said Bowen.

“I’ve heard so much about the Philippines and their basketball fandom, and I can’t wait to experience it for myself.”

The 46-year-old will watch Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 1 at the Eastwood City Mall Activity Center and Game 2 on June 4 at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Glorietta 2. 

In between the Finals, Bowen will also help lead a basketball clinic with 40 boys and girls at the NBA-revitalized basketball court at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Engineering on June 2.

Fans can also catch Bowen on #NBAStreamSquad, a digital show featuring local influencers that preview the NBA Finals, on June 3 at the Eastwood City Mall Activity Center and on the NBA Philippines Facebook page on May 31 and June 3. 

A 3-time NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs, Bowen was selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team from 2004 to 2008 and Second Team from 2001 to 2003. – Rappler.com
