WATCH: Locked-in Raptors to ride momentum of Game 3 win

MANILA, Philippines – The Toronto Raptors took advantage of a severely weakened Golden State Warriors team to take Game 3 of the NBA Finals in convincing fashion, 128-109.

The Warriors were unable to play All-Stars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, leaving Steph Curry to unload a playoff career-best 47 points in a valiant losing stand. 

As some fans argue about the validity of the Raptors’ road win given the state of the Warriors roster, former Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard is content on keeping things black and white moving forward. 

“I’m happy we got it,” said the soft-spoken superstar. “Two wins away now and let’s see what this momentum carries us to.”

Leonard also took the time to praise Curry’s offensive eruption, saying it was enough to  make the Raptors still stay light on their toes.

“It was a lot of pressure [for us], he said. “It’s a lot of pressure, too, if one of the main guys is not playing, [that] they can still come out and get a win. Steph played great tonight.”

Of course, Leonard did not leave out his teammates from his praises as well.

“Once I’m driving in the paint, kicking out to guys that are making shots, the defense doesn’t want to collapse as easy, and we just got to keep playing them in a flow, really,” he said. “I feel like we just don’t need to worry about me scoring the basketball. We all can score with the offense that we have. Just got to keep moving.”

Apart from Leonard’s 30-point outing, 5 other Raptors also clinched double-digits in scoring, led by veteran guard Kyle Lowry‘s 23 markers and 9 assists.

While the Warriors are scrambling to put up a competitive roster in the coming days, the fully healthy Raptors are already gearing to jump ahead to a comfortable 3-1 lead in Game 4 on Friday, June 7 (Saturday, June 8, Philippine time), still at the Oracle Arena. – Rappler.com
