HIGHLIGHTS: 2018 PBA Finals Game 3 – Magnolia Hotshots vs San Miguel Beermen

MANILA, Philippines – Fresh from a week-long break, the PBA returns to the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, April 1 for Game 3 of the 2018 Philippine Cup finals. 

The San Miguel Beermen and the Magnolia Hotshots vie for a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 championship duel. 

San Miguel looks to ride on the momentum it gained after its 92-77 rout in Game 2 last March 25, while Magnolia seeks to return to the winning column following its come-from-behind 105-103 triumph in Game 1 last March 23. 

Although the Beermen have regained their form, head coach Leo Austria does not want his boys to rest on their laurels. 

“We’re not thinking of any sweep dahil from the start, sinabi ko naman sa inyo na Magnolia is a strong contender in winning the championship. Makikita niyo ‘yung gutom nila, talagang makikipag-away din sila eh,” said Austria.

The Hotshots, meanwhile, are not going to mope about their previous loss.

“I hope we learned from these last two games. The good thing lang is tied ‘yung series. So it boils down to a best-of-5. Maganda, at least kahit papaano, mahaba ‘yung series,” said Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero.
