MANILA, Philippines – San Miguel Beermen guard Jeric Fortuna was the quickest cat on the court on Friday, March 6, as he outlasted 11 other guards to win the 2015 PBA Obstacle Course title in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. 

Fortuna clinched the title with a 32.1 second performance in the final round, where he finished the obstacle course quicker than Alaska rookie Chris Banchero (44.9 seconds) and four-time champion Jonas Villanueva (37.7 seconds).

“Naging confident lang ako sa sarili ko. I just stayed relaxed… nagdasal ako talaga,” Fortuna said after winning the title. 

(I was just confident in my abilities. I just stayed relaxed… I really prayed.) 

“Duon sa mga pinagdaanan ko, since high School, college, yun nagpataas nang confidence ko. Dinala ko lang dito.”

Banchero, who recorded 28 seconds, was the best performer in the first round. Fortuna was second with 32 seconds, while Villanueva finished in 34 seconds.
