WATCH: Goldberg makes WWE return after 12 years
Goldberg, who was last seen in a WWE ring when he competed at WrestleMania XX in 2004, makes a comeback on the October 17 episode of 'Monday Night Raw'

MANILA, Philippines – After 12 years of wandering outside the confines of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), professional wrestling legend Bill Goldberg made his highly-anticipated return to the organization on the October 17 episode of Monday Night Raw

Goldberg, who was last seen in a WWE ring when he competed at WrestleMania XX in March 2004, created a huge ovation at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado as he walked towards the squared-circle in vintage fashion.

As his “Invasion” walkout song that he solely used in World Championship Wrestling came out of the arena speakers, the 49-year-old wrestler was greeted by raucous and loud “Goldberg” chants.

“It’s been a long time, and you didn’t forget,” Goldberg said as he grabbed the microphone to address his WWE return.

By the time his boot touched the mat of the ring, Goldberg meant serious business as he accepted Brock Lesnar’s challenge for a rematch, which could probably take place at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event on November 20.

Both men first crossed paths in one of the featured matches of WrestleMania XX, where Goldberg walked away with the victory.

“Maybe I have one more ass-kicking left in me. I talked to myself that maybe I have one more badass spear left in me. I talked to myself that maybe I have one more devastating jackhammer in me,” he stated in his first promo since the build-up of his first encounter with Lesnar.

It appears that Goldberg’s comeback bout, however, will be his final hurrah in professional wrestling. By modifying his famous catchphrase, he said Lesnar would be his last opponent in his illustrious career.

“Brock Lesnar, not only does that mean you’re next. But most importantly, it means Brock Lesnar, you’re last,” he declared before dropping the microphone.

Play-by-play commentator Michael Cole announced Lesnar will make an appearance on Raw next week to respond to Goldberg. – Rappler.com
