PWR introduces new characters at ‘Vendetta’ event
Philippine Wrestling Revolution will showcase its promising future with the introduction of a new cast of characters

MANILA, Philippines – After staging two action-packed shows in 2014, Philippine Wrestling Revolution (PWR) keeps the ball rolling in 2015  by holding its third major event dubbed as “Vendetta” on Saturday, February 21 at the Makati Cinema Square Arena in Makati City, Metro Manila.

Unlike its two previous cards wherein the professional wrestling organization solidified its grip on the local sports-entertainment scene, this time PWR will showcase its promising future with the introduction of a new cast of characters, who are graduates of the promotion’s boot camp program.

Although PWR gave sneak peeks of its young guns with the debut of Mark D. Manalo and John Sebastian this past December, the company will unveil new interesting faces that will be added to its growing roster.

Sebastian proved that he has the wares to strut against a ring veteran like Jake De Leon at PWR: Terminus two months ago, but at PWR: Vendetta, he is taking on a fellow up-and-comer in Ralph Imabayashi.

The 5-foot-5 Imabayashi was raised in Japan and had gone through training in Puroresu, a Japanese form of professional wrestling that is treated as a full-contact combat sport as it mixes hard-hitting martial arts strikes with shoot-style submission locks.

On the other hand, Manalo is teaming up with beer-drinking figure Kanto Terror once again to redeem themselves after receiving a terrible beating from Main Maxx at PWR: Terminus by facing newcomers Peter Versoza and SANDATA, the duo known as “Dual Shock”.

Aside from the talented tenderfoots on the undercard, the five-match affair is also scheduled to feature a four-man tournament for the inaugural PWR championship.

Backyard wrestling stalwart Bombay Suarez locks horns with “Human Trending Topic” Ken Warren, while “The Senyorito” Jake De Leon meets Filipino-American sensation Chris Panzer.

The winners of the aforementioned bouts will battle each other for the first PWR title at the planned May event.

Meanwhile, the “Vendetta” top bill caters an all-out war tag team contest between the pair of “Classical” Bryan Leo and Main Maxx going up against the band of former foes Mayhem Brannigan and The Apocalypse.

Both sides will have the opportunity to settle their difference that had been grueling for months in a no-holds-barred and falls-count-anywhere match.

Tickets are available at the Makati Cinema Square Arena for Php 250.00 ($5.66) on the said date. Doors open at 6:00pm, while opening bell rings at 7:00pm. – Rappler.com
