MANILA, Philippines – One of Philippine volleyball’s best and biggest stars Aby Maraño took over the new Rappler Sports Twitter account on Tuesday, February 2, using the hashtag #AbyTakeover to chat with her fans.

Maraño, a former De La Salle Lady Spiker in the UAAP, shared plenty of interesting tidbits about herself, and also joked around with her fans in a very entertaining hour of Q and A.

“Sobrang fun kasi mahilig din ako mag-ganyan. Pag nagkaroon ako ng trip ng madaling araw, bigla ako nagpapa #AskAby. Kaya nung ininvite ako nagustuhan ko talaga agad,” said Maraño, who was happy to show a different side to her compared to 

“Lahat na lang ng tao iniisip na beast mode ako parati, so ngayon soft side of me naman.”

“Through this, they can reach out to me. And I can reach out to them,” she said. “Para nakikita nila na approachable din pala ako, hindi ako santo na sinasamba samba lang as idol or hindi maabot. Kaya ko rin makipagkulitan (So they can see that I’m approachable, I’m not a saint they’ll idolize or they can’t reach. I can be fun too).”

Maraño did not hold back answering questions and even got personal on potential wedding plans with San Beda Red Lion beau Robert Bolick.
