MANILA, Philippines — What’s next for Ray Parks?

After National University’s surprise downfall in the Final Four, questions loomed on whether the Bulldogs’ prized player is done with his UAAP career.

However, Parks himself couldn’t give a direct answer. Instead, the two-time MVP left more questions as the media talked to him about his next career move.

“I’m not sure,” said the visibly-frustrated Parks. “I have to get some time and move on to the next thing.”

Parks neither confirmed nor denied he’s already leaving the Sampaloc-based squad after 3 years. Asked if a championship will make him return, he said: “Of course I wanna bring them to the finals.”

Parks added he wants brighter things as far as his future basketball career is concerned and hinted on a possible D-League or PBA stint.

“D League, well I’m not sure yet. I just want to take time off. Probably train in the (United) States, PBA draft is still an option,” he said.

NBA still ultimate dream

The two-time MVP also kept his doors open for an NBA stint, saying it is still his biggest goal.

“Of course, that’s really my dream. I’m gonna work on that but for now I just got to sit down and work my way out,” he shared.

For now, Parks just wants to have a timeout after a gruelling season for the Bulldogs and an eventful college basketball career.
