I told my players that we need to take home the most important thing and that’s the title.”
Analie Benjamen, who batted in two runs at the plate, outplayed five batters as she held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless in the first five innings that put the Lady Falcons on a good start en route to winning the title.
“It’s a great day to celebrate and we’re very happy for what we achieved,” said Benjamen, who won the Most Valuable Player and Best Slugger trophies. “It’s a collective effort from all of us.”
The championship also gave graduating players starters Julie Muyco, Rizza Bernardino, Tata Embudo, Elvie Entrina and Carol Banay a fitting farewell.
Adamson cruised to a 6-0 start after four innings and only yielded one run at the bottom of the sixth, where they managed 12 hits against their opponents’ two.
Arrian Vallestero had scored a run for NU after Adamson’s throwing error in the bottom of the sixth.
