Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’s storyline is based on the epic finale of the original Naruto manga, portraying the battles that happened during the last arc - as well as the flashbacks that accompanied it

SINGAPORE – CyberConnect 2 Game Producer Shunsuke Fujita was present at Singapore’s GameStart 2015 last November 12 to 15 to showcase new features and gameplay footage of the much awaited Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.

Slated to release on February 5 2016, the sequel presents new fights, villains, and characters. The game’s storyline is based on the epic finale of the original Naruto manga, portraying the battles that happened during the last arc – as well as the flashbacks that accompanied it.

At GameStart 2015, Fujita gave fans a sneak peak of the new set of villains and bosses to beat. These bosses include Madara, Obito, the ten-tailed beast, and Kaguya and her ten-tailed beast mode. Fans were then treated to short scenes of flashback battles of Kakashi’s original team with Rin and Obito.

Fujita also revealed clips of the “Perfect Susanoo” Itachi partnered with “Perfect Susanoo” Shisui. During a brief interview before GameStart 2015, Fujita said that while these have not appeared in the original manga, fans might still appreciate the creations as these have been designed by Naruto author Masashi Kishimoto.

In addition to the new forms, Fujita also presented fresh gameplay footage of how the new linked awakenings worked.

As of now, the footage revealed that linked awakenings worked with special story-based teams. The original Team 7, meaning Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, have linked awakenings.

“Six Path Sage mode” Obito and “Six Path Sage mode” Madara also have linked awakenings.

Fujita also presented clips of the combination ultimate jutsus that are available for teams like Team 7, Kakashi and Obito, and the Hyuuga clan.

Asked if they are now working on the next game with the new generation of ninjas in the Naruto universe, Fujita answered that the team remains focused on Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will release on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. – Rappler.com
