The new setting to On This Day lets users to filter out specific people or dates they'd rather not keep in mind

MANILA, Philippines – Facebook’s On This Day app, which lets users bring up past memories they’ve shared on the social network, is getting tweak to make nostalgia a little less painful.

The company introduced on Tuesday, October 13, a new setting to On This Day, allowing users to filter out specific people or dates they’d rather not keep in mind.

According to a Facebook spokesperson’s statement posted on The Verge, the company knows “people share a range of meaningful moments on Facebook.”

“As a result, everyone has various kinds of memories that can be surfaced – good, bad, and everything in between. So for the millions of people who use ‘On This Day,’ we’ve added these filters to give them more control over the memories they see,” the statement continued.
