Vivo launches V3, V3 Max smartphones
The V3 and V3 Max smartphones, launched at an event in India, will also be heading to the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines – Vivo Mobile is expanding its reach in the Philippines, with new smartphones announced in India set to take to the Philippine stage this year.

Vivo Mobile launched the V3 and V3 Max smartphones on Tuesday, April 5, at an event in India. These two phones will also be heading to the Philippines, following the launch of Vivo’s Y51 in the country.

The Vivo V3 Max sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass and a metal body. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core Processor with Adreno 510 graphics and has 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB).

The device also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s QC 2.0 international standard, assuring compatibility with most fast chargers in the market.

The Vivo V3 uses the same design but has a slightly smaller screen: a 5-inch HD (1280×720) display. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 Octa-core processor, and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (also expandable up to 128GB).

While the two cameras are the same – a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera – the V3 uses a 2,550 mAh battery instead.

Both devices run on Funtouch OS 2.5, which is based on Android 5.1.

According to a Yugatech report: “The ViVo V3 has a suggested retail price of about $270 (INR17,980) while the V3 Max is priced at $360 (INR23,980). That translates to about P12,500 and P16,700 when converted to Philippine peso.”

The Vivo V3 Max will be available in the country by end-April, while the Vivo V3 will hit Philippine shores by early May. – Rappler.com
