Google Chrome extension Block280 hides tweets over 140 characters
The Block280 extension collapses and hides tweets over 140 characters in your Twitter timeline

MANILA, Philippines – Twitter may have announced its testing phase for 280-character tweets, but for those who just want to live the “good ol’ days” of 140-character brevity, there’s a Google Chrome extension made just for you.

Called Block280, the extension collapses and hides tweets over 140 characters in your Twitter timeline.

The developer, Conor Browne, said on his site he made the extension “for all those who hate the new 280 character tweets.” Twitter, he explains, “isn’t for reading paragraphs.”

The extension won’t lock you out of seeing those tweets entirely though. Users can still choose to open up indvidual tweets past 280 characters.

The extension is available on the Google Chrome Web Store. – Rappler.com
