Social influence platform Klout shutting down May 25
MANILA, Philippines – Social influence platform Klout will be closing shop on May 25.
Lithium Technologies, which acquired the startup in 2014, announced the closure in a blog post on Thursday, May 10. Klout also confirmed the closure on Twitter.

According to Lithium's statement, "The Klout acquisition provided Lithium with valuable artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities, but Klout as a standalone service is not aligned with our long-term strategy."
Launched in 2008, Klout was best known for its Klout Score, which allowed people to give a value that determined how well-connected they were online and in varying topics. – Rappler.com
