Former White House hopefuls, who once ran against Joe Biden in the Democratic primary, banded together on Thursday, August 20 (Friday, August 21, Manila time) to throw their support behind Donald Trump’s challenger in the upcoming US elections.
Their panel discussion was aired on the last day of the Democratic National Convention in the US, where Biden formally accepts his nomination as US presidential candidate.
“You could think of this sort of like ‘Survivor,’ on the out-interviews of all the people that got voted off the island,” said the host Senator Cory Booker, eliciting laughter from former candidates including Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
