MANILA, Philippines – Young Philippine students bagged 69 medals in the 2015 China Primary Math Olympiad held in the capital city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang, China.

The Philippines placed second overall in the medal tally with 7 gold, 24 silver, and 38 bronze medals.

China topped the competition, followed by the Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, and Macau.

“We congratulate our elementary students for their feat. We will continue our mission to train students for international math competitions,” said Simon Chua, president of the Mathematics Trainers Guild Philippines (MTG).
