The actress says she only has mild symptoms since she's already fully vaccinated against the virus

Actress Kim Domingo said on Monday, August 30, that she tested positive for COVID-19.

First of all, hindi ko inexpect na tatamaan pa ako. Pinagtatawanan na nga ako sa sobrang pag-disinfect at pag-iingat na ginagawa ko. Kumpleto din ako ng vitamins at fully vaccinated,” she began her Instagram post.

(I did not expect that I’ll still be infected by the virus. I made sure to disinfect all the time and take safety measures to the point where I was being teased about it. I also drink my vitamins and am already fully vaccinated.)

She said she was set to join the lock-in taping for the upcoming GMA series Love, Die, Repeat on Sunday, August 29, but she tested positive for the coronavirus on Friday, August 27. “Grabe ang iyak ko nung nalaman ko na hindi na ako makakasama sa show. Napaka-wrong timing. Pero iniisip ko na lang, may dahilan kung bakit nangyari ito.”

(I was crying so hard when I found out I could no longer do the show. It was super wrong timing. But I’m just thinking that there’s a reason why this happened.)

Kim added that she regrets having to pull out of the series since Love, Die, Repeat was supposed to be her comeback TV project. She said she was hesitant to accept projects because of the pandemic and only accepted the offer after she was fully vaccinated.

The actress said there’s no way of confirming how she got the virus, but encouraged her followers to get vaccinated and follow precautionary measures.

Kahit anong ingat mo, pwedeng pwede ka tamaan ng COVID. Hindi natin siya nakikita. Kaya kung meron kayo pagkakataon magpakabuna kayo,” she wrote. (No matter how strict you follow protocols, you can always be infected by the virus. So if there’s a chance, get vaccinated.)

Kim added that she only had mild symptoms. “Buti nalang at fully vaccinated na ako at ang pamilya ko. Wala na akong lagnat, pero wala pa din pang-amoy at panlasa. Pero still, malakas pa din ako kumain. Mas okay na pakiramdam ko.”

(It’s a good thing that me and my family were already fully vaccinated. I no longer have fever, although my sense of taste and smell is gone. But I still have a huge appetite. I’m already starting to feel better.)

Fellow celebrities like Ken Chan, Katrina Halili, Dianne Medina, and Chariz Solomon wished Kim a fast recovery.

Kim is an actress-model best known for her roles in GMA series Super Ma’am, TODA One I love, and Hanggang Sa Dulo Ng Buhay Ko.
