MANILA, Philippines – In observance of Holy Week, railway systems Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT3) will have no operations starting Maundy Thursday, March 24.
Both Lines 1 and 2 of the LRT will have no operations from Thursday until Easter Sunday, March 27. Normal operations will resume 5 am on Monday, March 28.
On Holy Wednesday, March 23, the LRT 2 will have its last commercial service at 8 pm from the Santolan station (westbound) and at 8:30 pm from the Recto station (eastbound).
Meanwhile, the MRT3 will be operational on Wednesday, from 4:30 am to 10 pm. It will be closed for maintenance work from Thursday until Sunday.
Normal operations will resume 4:30 am on Monday, March 28. – Rappler.com
