MANILA, Philippines – Kris Aquino announced that some of her good friends will perform for the first ladies luncheon she will host for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit next week.
On Instagram, Kris thanked the managers of Derek Ramsay, Matteo Guidicelli, Ogie Alcasid, Angeline Quinto, and Erik Santos. These artists will be part of the program.
“Thank you @angelina_jojie for my cohost for the APEC Luncheon @ramsayderek11 and for @mateoguidicelli! Thank you @leovdominguez & @rey_lanada for my kumpare, the King of OPM @ogiealcasid. Thank You @cornerstone_ig @visionerickson for the King & Queen of Teleserye theme songs @eriksantos & @loveangelinequinto! THANK YOU for saying YES right away & helping us create a very memorable 20 minute musical experience for the spouses of the leaders attending APEC 2015. We are eternally grateful for your generosity in sharing your talent with us!” Kris said.
In another post, Kris shared how she got the 5 celebrities especially Derek who will co-host to be part of the event.
“TRUTH: when Ate text me while we were on vacation, string quartet ang entertainment. So she said baka pwede kong pakiusapan si (if it’s possible to talk to) @ramsayderek11 to co-host the short program w/ me and is it possible for Derek to sing even if lip sync para may konting (there’s a little) excitement naman.
“I said: Ate, let me please make some calls, kaya ‘to. There were other artists in our short list, but DFA was very strict that the program should only be 20 minutes, so nakakahiya if not everybody will get their moment.
“Additional trivia, when I was telling Ate and Pinky I was hoping for an ADELE medley, they both said WHO? OMG. I decided to not interfere w/ the choice of songs & we’ll stick it out w/ some Broadway tunes & a medley. Thank you @angelina_jojie, @mateoguidicelli & MY LIFELONG TRUE FRIEND @ramsayderek11. #APEC2015,” she said.
On Monday November 9, Kris said on her show KrisTV that the spouses of leaders from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Colombia are expected to attend the lunch.
