WATCH: Barack Obama in ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’ preview

MANILA, Philippines – US President Barack Obama’s episode on Running Wild with Bear Grylls is coming soon, and the show released a sneak peek on YouTube on Wednesday, December 16. 

Unlike the previous sneak peek they released in September, Obama wasn’t shown eating half-eaten salmon in the latest preview. This time, adventurer Bear Grylls has a quiet moment with the President, asking him about juggling his work with his family life.

“The interesting thing is that I actually ended up getting more time with the kids as president, because I live above the store,” Obama explains, as the two sit in the Alaskan wilderness.

The US leader continues, saying that he can do things with his family – like have dinner – and go back to work if he wants to, because he lives and works in the White House.

Another sneak peek was released on Thursday, December 17, on NBC. In the video below, Obama autographs a bottle opener with a figurine of himself for Bear.

Bear was a former special air service trooper who pushes celebrities like New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and actress Kate Winslet “beyond their limits.” (WATCH: Michelle Rodriguez, Bear Grylls snack on mouse stewed in urine)

In previous episodes, celebs have been asked to eat mice, jump out of planes, and cross desert canyons.

Obama’s visit to Alaska is meant to highlight the impact of climate change.
