MANILA, Philippines – President Aquino on Wednesday, February 1, admitted that he is dating Korean radio and television personality Grace Lee.

Queried by reporters regarding the “real score” between him and the 29-year old celebrity, Aquino responded that they are “seeing each other.”

Aquino declined, however, to further elaborate on his relationship with Lee, invoking his right to privacy.

“I think  I’ll leave it at that…,” he said. Aquino noted that the Constitution guarantees the right to privacy. “Perhaps you can also share with me that right under Article III,” he said.

Aquino’s name was first linked to the Korean beauty when the latter acted as host at the inauguration program of a power plant in Cebu in June last year.

At the start of his speech at the power plant inauguration, Aquino noted Lee’s beauty saying, “pati iyong bisita nating si Ms. Grace Lee, kala ko tuloy, Pinay. Hindi nga pala: Korean — pati ang mga Korean na dumarating, talagang gwapa lahat.” (Even our visitor, Ms. Grace Lee, I thought she was Filipino but she is Korean. Even the Koreans who visit Cebu, they are all beautiful.)

He further went on to say he might end up staying in Cebu. “Kailangan yatang buhayin iyong Malacañang Sugbu! Baka dito na rin ho tayo magkatuluyan… pero nawawala tayo sa usapan.” (I think we need to restore Malacañang Sugbu! Maybe we’ll end up together here… but we are getting off topic.)

Following the event, Lee was quoted in reports to have downplayed the incident saying, “It’s all a compliment and it’s all ended there so no big deal.”

In December, however, Lee had a one-on-one interview with  the President for her radio station. The two reportedly become textmates with Aquino since then. – Rappler.com
