Among those who reacted to the incident were the stars who were fans of Christina and her friends as well. Some were only able to voice out concern for her well-being before news of her death broke.
On Twitter, Christina’s good friend Selena Gomez spoke about her loss. Christina and Selena were friends, as Christina sang back-up vocals for the singer during her 2011 tour.

Selena’s stepfather, Brian Teefey, discovered Christina and became her manager. On social media, he wrote: “Words cannot begin to describe the pain I am feeling. I learned this business through the eyes of a father and Christina was like a second daughter to me. All I wanted to do was assist her in achieving her musical dreams while protecting her from the pitfalls associated with the business. I never could have imagined this horrific event being one of the pitfalls needing to be avoided.”
Brian has created a GoFundMe page to support Christina’s family.
