MANILA, Philippines – Jessy Mendiola expressed that she’s okay about Luis Manzano admitting that they are going out.

In an interview after the press conference for FHM Philippines’s 100 Sexiest on Tuesday, July 12, Jessy said that Luis started to court her around May of this year.

“Alam niyo it’s so weird kasi hindi ko rin siya ma-outline. Ang nangyari was parang ito na lang siya. Naging ganito na lang siya,” she said.

(You know, it’s so weird because I can’t give an outline. What happened was it was just there. It just became like this.) 

When asked if she’s open to having another relationship after her breakup last year with JM de Guzman, Jessy said: “We’ll see.”

Jessy is also grateful that Luis cleared her name after she was accused of being a third party in the breakup between Luis and Angel.

“Dapat naman talaga niyang sabihin ‘yun kasi totoo naman. Grabe naman, I wouldn’t ruin a relationship. Kapag mangyari ‘yun sa akin, baka magpakamatay na lang ako. Pero hindi talaga, and ‘Thank you’ sa kanya na sinabi niya ‘yun,” she said.

(It’s just right that he said that because it’s really not true. I wouldn’t ruin a relationship. If ever that happens to me, I might just kill myself. But it really isn’t true, and ‘Thank you’ to him because he said that.) 

During the presscon, Jessy said that anyone would be lucky to have Luis as a boyfriend. 

As Lucky is Luis’ nickname, she was asked to comment on how lucky she is now, Jessy said: “Gaano ako kasuwerte sa buhay ko ngayon? (How lucky am I with my life?) I feel that everything is falling into place.”

Jessy elaborated: “He’s very mature. He’s a gentleman – such a gentleman and very kind-hearted. Lahat ng nakakakilala kay Luis, sobrang bait niyang tao (Everyone who knows Luis, he’s really a very nice guy).“

About Angel’s reaction to what’s going on betweeen her and Luis, Jessy said that she would rather not talk about it. 

“I really don’t think I should comment on that. I mean iba naman yung sa akin. (I mean mine is very different)”

When asked for her reaction about Luis often being linked to those who have become FHM Philippines’ Sexiest Woman, Jessy quipped: “Iba siya. (He’s different)”

She was also asked if she has met Luis’ family.

“Wala pang ganun. We just go out,” she said. “Parang ginagawang sobrang big deal. (There hasn’t been anything like that. We just go out. People have made a really big deal out of it.) It’s two people who are single. We hang out, we have fun with friends so I don’t see anything so spectacular about that na sobra-sobra (that’s extraordinary).” – Rappler.com
