Sunshine Cruz speaks up on her kids’ meeting with ex Cesar Montano
'What I did was good pero ang daming nag-react sa side niya,' Sunshine says of her daughters serendipitous encounter with Cesar

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Sunshine Cruz said that as far as she is concerned, when her 3 children met their father Cesar Montano in a serendipitous moment at a restaurant, it was definitely a good thing for them. (LOOK: Cesar Montano reunites with daughters)

In an interview with reports at FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women event where she performed onstage, Sunshine however said that she would rather not say further comment about this encounter, after some of Cesar’s relatives reacted negatively.

“Let’s not talk about it, kasi ako ang alam ko ha, (what I know) it was a good thing. What I did was good pero ang daming nag-react sa side niya (but many reacted from his side). They reacted negatively. It’s better not to talk about it.  At least I tried, my kids tried,” Sunshine said.

Sunshine also clarified: “After what happened, medyo nag wild sa Facebook yung relatives eh. They weren’t happy with what happened, unfortunately, so the kids got hurt. And siguro sabi nga namin, we thought it was God’s move, but I think siguro kailangan pa nang time.”

“Eventually sana kung kaya na nila manahimik at hindi mag react nang hindi maganda towards me, the kids, and my ex – and mag-work out yung better relationship.”

(Eventually, I hope they would keep quiet and not react rudely towards me, the kids, and my ex. I also hope to work out a better relationship.)

Sunshine may be referring to remarks such as one from Cesar’s sister Maria Mercedes, who posted on Facebook that the reunion of Cesar and the kids was not enough to make up for what the “humiliation” her brother had went through after his separation with Sunshine.

In her Facebook post, she wrote: “The humiliation that’s so difficult to forget hurled to my sibling that gave him pain and sufferings and to the whole family circle as well cannot just be erased by this reunion.

She followed up by saying that the reunion was still a positive thing: “However, I thank the almighty for this photo for it reveals the truth itself and [it’s] a bingo for him! Indeed, God is in control which he often says to me.”

The couple, who have been separated since 2013, have not spoken to each after Sunshine filed a complaint against Cesar, whom she accused of performing lewd acts in front of their kids during one of his visits.

The complaint was junked. – Rappler.com
