MANILA, Philippines – Ariana Grande has confirmed that she and boyfriend rapper/singer Mac Miller have broken up.
On her Instagram stories, the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer said that she considered Mac as one her best friends. The two were together for two years.
“This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet,” she wrote. “I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!”
Ariana also wrote that unconditional love is “not selfish” and that it’s about wanting what’s best for the person close to her.
“I can’t wait to know and support you forever and I’m so proud of you,” she said of Mac.
The couple’s split comes after Ariana was spotted walking solo during the MetGala on Monday, May 7. According to E! News, their last public appearance together was during Madonna’s Oscar’s party.
It was reported the two decided to break up due to their respective busy schedules.
