
MANILA, Philippines — Your Faces Sounds Familiars Kids went local during the July 7 and 8 episodes, as they paid tribute to the country’s top Filipino singers.
Sheena Belarmino once again proved she can do justice to any icon assigned to her as she won this week’s challenge.
Here’s a look at the this week’s episodes:
JULY 7
Sheena Belarmino as Jessa Zaragoza
Sheena took on the challenge of singing Jessa’s classic hit “Bakit Pa.”
Jed Madela said Sheena’s performance was “effortless.” Jessa has yet to react to Sheena’s perfomance but has retweeted a number of comments from her followers about it.
Chunsa Jung as Sheryl Cruz
Chunsa transformed into a young Sheryl, and sang the song “Mr Dreamboy.”
Sharon Cuneta said Chunsa has been good, noting that there was no week wherein Chunsa failed to entertained them.
TNT Boys as VST & Company
The boys transformed themselves into one of the classic groups of the ’70s, singing “Swing.”
Sharon thanked the boys for giving justice to their transformation into the group.
She noted that VST & Company was very close to her heart, since she watched them when she started her career. Sharon is also the the niece of now-Senate President Tito Sotto, who was a member of the group.
Onyok Pineda as Daniel Padilla
This week, Onyok transformed into Daniel Padilla and sang “Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat.”
Ogie Alcasid told Onyok that by simply going onstage, he was already making people happy.
JULY 8
Krystal Brimner as Zsa Zsa Padilla
Krystal performed the Divine Diva’s hit song “Mambobola.”
Jed commended Krystal, saying what she did was not easy. “You become the character,” he noted.
Esang de Torres as Joey Albert
Esang took on one of Joey’s classic songs “Tell Me.”
Ogie told Esang that there were instances that she was able to get Joey’s voice perfectly while singing the song.
Marco Masa as Iñigo Pascual
Marco did her own version of Iñigo’s song “Dahil Sa’Yo.”
Sharon described Marco’s performance as “cool and chill,” adding that she was surprised by his performance.
Noel Comia Jr as Martin Nievera
Noel took on the challenge of transforming into the Concert King himself, singing to “Say That You Love Me.”
Nyoy Volante said he loved Noel’s confidence, describing it as coming close to Martin’s own stage presence.
With her win, Sheena took home a medal, P50,000, and P50,000 worth of worth of school bags for her her chosen charity, Silong Tanglaw Foundation.– Rappler.com
