MANILA, Philippines – Expect neon-colored hair, bright costumes, and bubbly pop to make a comeback this October, with the release of Katy Perry’s newest album, “Prism,” reports Billboard.
Way before rocking the radio waves, “Prism” has already – quite literally – hit the streets with a humongous golden trailer truck converted into a rolling billboard announcing the album’s release date, October 22, 2013.
Katy Perry’s golden truck has been spotted all over the streets of Los Angeles – a mammoth promotional drive, alongside the social media campaign to promote her latest album. The singer has invited some 40 million followers to keep an eye out for the truck and to tweet a picture.
The star has promised to retweet sightings of the “Prism” truck, which will be traveling to other places.
Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you. Don't worry, Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map.

One of the first to take notice of the glistening truck is American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert, who loved the idea.

There is no truth to speculations about a collaboration with her partner, musician John Mayer. Perry told E! News that Mayer will not be on the new album.
Among the singer-actress’ recent projects is her role as Smurfette in “The Smurfs 2,” set for Philippine release on August 7.
