Jessy Mendiola happy for ex-boyfriend JM de Guzman

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Jessy Mendiola said she is happy that former boyfriend JM de Guzman is back in showbiz, after a year of absence.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Jessy said she does not want to dwell on the past.

“Basta masaya ako na nakabalik na siya kasi matagal na rin naming sinasabi na sana makabalik na siya. Now that all is well ay huwag na lang nating balikan ‘yung tapos na,” Jessy said.

(I’m very happy he has returned. We’ve been telling him for a long time that we hope he would return. Now that all is well, let’s not go back to the past.)

Meanwhile, in an interview with Pep, Jessy said she has not talked to JM for a long time but saw his interview, where he admitted that he took drugs.

“And I’m happy sa kung anuman yung nangyayari sa kanya ngayon (with what is happening to him now). He deserves to be back in showbiz,” she said.

She also said that she is open to work with JM, whom she considers as a good actor.

In his interview on The Buzz Sunday, August 3, JM said that he underwent drug rehabilitation. He said that it was one the reasons why he and the Maria Mercedes actress parted.

JM said that he is grateful for the second chance given to him by ABS-CBN. He is set to return to television via a guest role on the show Ipaglaban Mo. – Rappler.com
