WATCH: Brothers from Bohol impress with unique ‘Voice Kids PH 2’ blind audition
The boys sing their own version of 'Just Give Me A Reason' in their local dialect

MANILA, Philippines – Brothers Emman and Sandy Tanio made a huge impression on The Voice Kids coach Bamboo, who turned his chair as he watched the pair perform at their blind audition, which aired Sunday night, June 28.

The brothers, aged 12 and 10, performed a Visayan version of “Give Me A Reason,” with their diwdiw and ukulele.

Bamboo even tried his hand at playing the improvised homemade instrument, which the boys’ father made for them using a pot.

The boys’ mom and dad work as a carpenter and ice cream seller in their province of Bohol.

Prior to the performance, Emman and Sandy said the reason they wanted to join The Voice Kids was to help their parents earn a better income. The brothers perform at the beach just to earn a little extra to help out at home.

The boys also said that given a chance, they would choose Bamboo as their coach.

Tuwang-tuwa ako ( I am very happy),” Bamboo said.

Sa umpisa pa lang, nahuli niyo na ako. Instrumento pa lang. Isa ito sa mga paborito kong performance sa season na ito,” he added.

(From the beginning, you already got me. The instruments alone. This is one of my favorite performances this season.)

Both want to finish their studies. Emman wants to be a cop while Sandy wants to be a doctor. – Rappler.com
