Hugh Grant reveals he had COVID-19 early 2020

British actor Hugh Grant revealed in an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he had contracted the coronavirus in February 2020.

On Tuesday, November 10, 60-year-old Grant said that he and his wife Anna Eberstein both caught it earlier this year, but now show no signs of the virus after a recent antibodies test.

Grant shared his experience with the virus, which started as a “very strange syndrome” where he kept “breaking into a terrible sweat.”

“It was like a poncho of sweat, embarrassing really. Then my eyeballs felt about 3 sizes too big and this feeling as though some enormous man was sitting on my chest, sort of Harvey Weinstein or someone,” Grant said.

He also said that his panic began once he couldn’t smell anything anymore, to the point that he started “sniffing flowers, garbage cans,” and even sprayed his wife’s Chanel No. 5 “directly into [his] face.”

Grant is currently in London, which is currently on another lockdown due to the recent rise in coronavirus cases. – Rappler.com
