[WATCH] Rappler Live Jam: Paolo Mallari
The singer-songwriter is bringing his music to the virtual Live Jam stage

MANILA, Philippines – Paolo Mallari is performing on Rappler Live Jam.

Hailing from Imus, Cavite, the singer-songwriter started making music at just 10 years old, when he learned how to play the guitar, keyboard, drums, and the harmonica.

From there, he started making his own music, honing his craft after being picked out of thousands of applicants all over the country to join the Elements Music Camp in 2014.

His music is rooted in the artists he grew up listening to: The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young. But after learning to use the Akai MPC Live, he is also dabbling in a more electro-pop and synthwave sound.

He’s performed on several TV and radio shows, and even made it to the Malasimbo Festival stage in 2016.

He recently released his single “Bukas Makalawa (Ayos Lang),” which he wrote out of the desire to send a positive message to listeners, and to ecourage them to keep their hopes up in hard times.
