The film follows bullied middle school student Emily Elizabeth who, after meeting a magical animal rescuer, is given a little puppy with a unique red fur coat. She’s wakes up the next day to find the very same puppy now grown into a giant ten-foot dog in her small apartment.

Together with her fun but impulsive uncle, Emily sets out on an adventure to let Clifford experience the pleasures of New York City while also trying to stop him from causing total chaos.

The film stars Darby Camp (The Christmas Chronicles), Jack Whitehall (The Queen’s Corgi), John Cleese (Shrek 2), and Izaac Wang (Raya and the Last Dragon). David Alan Grier (A Series of Unfortunate Events) provides the voice work for Clifford.

Directed by Walt Becker, Clifford the Big Red Dog is based on the Scholastic children’s book series created by author and cartoonist Norman Bridwell. The series has spawned several animated television shows due to its popularity.
