The movie sequel of the boys love (BL) web series Hello Stranger has begun production, according to production company Black Sheep.
“Hello again,” the ABS-CBN Films subsidiary said in a tweet with photos of its stars, including Tony Labrusca and JC Alcantara, and its creative team.
By the looks of it, the Hello Stranger cast and crew will be working at a resort (which now bears the sign “Paniticamp” – presumably the fictional in-movie venue). Its cast and crew were quarantined and got tested for COVID-19 before arriving at the venue.
“Before shooting, everybody underwent quarantine days and PCR-swab testing. Health and safety first, always,” said Black Sheep in a subsequent tweet.
Lock-in shoots usually mean the cast and crew will not be able to leave the venue for a certain period of time. They’ll also need to get tested and then go into quarantine again before they’re finally able to go home.
Hello Stranger, which premiered in late June, follows classmates Xavier and Mico, who are forced to work together for a school project. The two forge a relationship and inch closer and closer to being more than friends.
The series (and the upcoming movie) also features Gillian Vicencio, Vivoree Esclito, Patrick Quiroz, and Migs Almendras.
Several of the hit series’ stars posted snaps and videos from their shoot.
It seems like a lot were hyped to see updates from Black Sheep. “#HelloStrangerTheMovie” was a top trending topic on Twitter hours after they posted updates from their location shoot. – Rappler.com
