Blooms ‘feel good’ as BINI showcases sophomore album
The girls also bond with fans through games and a meet-and-greet event after the show

MANILA, Philippines – Blooms were in for an unforgettable night Friday, October 28, as P-pop girl group BINI showcased their sophomore album Feel Good at the SM North EDSA Sky Dome.

Released in September, Feel Good marks the group’s comeback, delivering their signature bubblegum pop but also unveiling a fierce, girl crush side.

BINI members Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena were greeted with love and energy from their loyal Blooms, who filled the two-hour show with fan chants and screams.

The group opened the show with their hit “Lagi,” which had everyone singing, “Mahal kita mula umaga, mukhang malala na.”

Their pre-release single “I Feel Good” charmed fans even more, spreading good vibes which felt “like a rainbow in the sky.”

During their performance of “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi,” the girls shared an emotional moment with fans, who raised banners that read “WALOve you! BINI.”

Other slogans read, “BINI, you’re worth the w8 (wait).” Organizers had postponed the showcase, originally slated for October 1, due to health concerns.

While the show’s colorful first half showed off their cuteness, the fierce second half revealed another side of the girls, who hyped the crowd with their title track, “Strings” and “No Fear.”

BINI also reflected on their journey and thanked supporters.

Blooms, maraming maraming salamat sa inyo (Thank you so much to all of you). Thank you for the love and protection. We know that you will always be there to support us, diba? BINI Blooms hanggang dulo (to the end)!” BINI’s main vocalist Maloi said.

The eight-member group first appeared in the P-pop scene with their pre-debut single “Da Coconut Nut” in November 2020. After their debut single “Born To Win” last June 2021, they released many other hits like “Na Na Na,” “Pit A Pat,” and “Golden Arrow.”

BINI frontwoman Jhoanna said, “Sobrang sarap sa puso na tinutulungan tayo ni Lord na unti-unting i-open ‘yung puso at isip ng mga tao para sa P-pop na genre.”

(It feels so good that the Lord is helping us to slowly open people’s hearts and minds to P-pop as a genre.)

She added, “Pero nandito kaming mga girl groups ng new generation, ang BINI at lahat ng P-pop groups. Nandito tayo para tulungan din ang bansa natin, kaya sabay-sabay tayo….P-pop rise!”

(But we girl groups of the new generation, BINI and all P-pop groups, we’re all here. We’re here to help our country out, so let’s all say together…P-pop rise!)

Apart from their performances, the girls bonded with the fans through games and a meet-and-greet event after the show.

Guest performers KD Estrada, Benedix Ramos, Jordan Andrews, and Maki, as well as hosts Jae Miranda and River Joseph, joined BINI in gracing the Sky Dome on Friday. – Rappler.com
